The BMW Group will be continuing its large-scale model offensive with ongoing intensity in the coming year. In Frankfurt the BMW Group will present a total of 18 world premieres and 2 German premieres to the public, including all the new engine variations.
Here you will find some of the main highlights on shown in the BMW Pavilion on the Agora and the MINI stand in Hall 4.

BMW 3 Series Touring: world premiere in Frankfurt.

The sporty, elegant estate car with first-class chassis provides more space for occupants and luggage. The fourth touring generation is now even more versatile and is launched with three petrol engines and two diesel engines.

BMW 3 Series all-wheel drive: xDrive now available in the 3 Series too.

The intelligent all-wheel drive system helps give the 3 Series Saloon and the 3 Series Touring superior traction, increased agility, safety and stability.
xDrive distributes the drive force at continuously variable levels between the two axles via a multi-plate clutch.

BMW 3 Series Saloon: three new engine variations.

The two 4-cylinder models 318i and 318d and the 330d with the
powerful 6-cylinder engine extend the model range of the 3 Series Sedan. The new M Sports Package provides an extra dash of sporty flair.

BMW 1 Series: new top model and M Sports Package.

The 1 Series top model with the 3.0 litre in-line 6-cylinder engine is the shark in the goldfish bowl of the compact category with 195 kW/265 bhp. The adaptive headlight, new telematic functions, M sports package and – already supplied – the particle filter for diesel models will be available for all 1 Series models.

BMW 5 Series: further extension of the model range.

The 540i saloon with V8 engine, the diesel all-wheel drive model 530xd and the 520d with 4-cylinder diesel reinforce the 5 Series. What is more the engines for the new top model 550i and the 530d have been revised. All 5 Series with a diesel engine are now fitted with a particle filter as standard.

BMW 6 Series Coupé and Convertible: now with new V8 engine.

The 650i is lined up for its launch in the autumn, replacing the 645Ci.
The new 4.8 litre 8-cylinder (270 kW/367 bhp, 490 Nm) accelerates the 2+2 seater from 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (Convertible: 5.7 s). Top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

BMW 7 Series: new 730Ld significantly increased power for top diesel engine in the 745d.

The long version is available for the first time as the 730Ld with a 6-cylinder diesel engine. With its sumptuous range of standard equipment and a broad spectrum of special equipment items for the rear, the 730Ld is ideally equipped for use as a chauffeur-driven vehicle. The 745d has now significantly increased in power (+ 10%) and torque (+ 7%) with 242 kW/330 bhp and 750 Nm.

BMW X3: new X3 2.0i and more power for the big diesel.

The new entry level petrol engine, the 2.0 litre 4-cylinder supplements the model range of the compact SAVs. The 3.0 litre diesel power unit is even more powerful, despite its reduced fuel consumption, and like all X3 diesel models as a particle filter on board as standard.

BMW Individual: exclusive, unique vehicle based on the 650i Convertible.

In this exhibit, the interior and exterior have been linked by a common design feature: the line. This one-off model is covered in first-class leather, with refined applications and inserts as well as premium workmanship.

Original BMW accessories.

BMW is exhibiting a wide range of accessory products. For example the Aerodynamics Package for the X3, distinguished interior applications in wood for the 3 Series and retrofit kits such as the DVD Portable System with docking station in the roof liner or the front and rear camera.

BMW Night Vision and High Beam Assist.

The two driver assistance systems making their debut at the IAA, High-Beam Assist and BMW Night Vision increase safety and comfort when driving at night. With the thermal image camera of BMW Night Vision, people, animals and objects are rapidly identified at night. The High Beam Assist automatically switches the high beam on and off.

Technology: innovations and particle filter for all BMW diesel models.
The DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) has been extended to include additional comfort and safety functions. BMW Online and BMW Assist are now even faster and more attractive. In addition, BMW has made diesel particle filters available for all model series.

More diesel power for MINI. World premiere at the IAA.
At its market launch in October, the fun factor in the MINI One D is being further increased. The diesel model has a 20% increase in power and is even more sporty and agile with 65 kW/88 bhp. The aluminium engine has a capacity of 1.4 litres and has been thoroughly revised. This means that in spite of low exhaust emissions and much improved performance figures, the new MINI One D is just as economical as its predecessor.

World premiere for three striking MINI models with a distinctive design.
MINI Seven, MINI Park Lane and MINI Checkmate create an explicit link with the long tradition of the brand and appeal to varying customer groups. The names allude to successful models of the old Mini – reinterpreted here in a sporty and very exclusive design with lifestyle flair.
